Here’s a word-frequency cloud of my dissertation courtesy of Wordle.net.

I study mediated writing processes -- how people use stuff like software and Post-It notes while writing. This blog is a junk-drawer for ideas related to my research. Learn more in my first post.

Doug!
Hi Shaun,
I'm currently taking a Professional Development class featuring Web 2.0 and we've been experimenting with Wordle! I like TagCrowd better because it allows me to control more features (such as frequency, websites, content, etc.). With these functions, rhetorical and stylistic analysis becomes easier, but I keep coming back to Wordle for its aesthetic quality.
Anyway, I wanted to give you a shout out - because I would lack serious perspective on anything composition/technology related if I hadn't taken your text/media class.
Peace =)
Darrell
Update: Seems Wordle identifies/counts capitalized versions of words separately (e.g. "target" and "Target" [and by that, I was talking about "the document being written," not the omnipresent box store]). Annoying.
